Ben Kingsley Reaches 70 with New Roles on Horizon

For most people, hitting the age 70 mark is a time to start taking it easy, taking some time to travel, and even spend time with family. That is not Ben Kingsley. The 69 year-old actor approaches his 70th birthday this year with a big schedule of films set for release in the coming months and a full schedule of upcoming projects on the horizon for 2014.

Later this year, Kingsley will be a part of the cast of Ender’s Game, a sci-fi thriller set for a release November 1, in time for the holiday film season. In the film, Kingsley stars alongside Harrison Ford in this futuristic story of a child who is groomed to protect the planet from invasion.

While he waits for the release of this highly anticipated film, Kingsley has plenty to keep him busy. He is currently working on two films set for a 2014 release. The animated feature The Boxtrolls is based on the novel Here be Monsters and the like action film Our Robot Overlords are both benefiting from the work of this Academy Award winning actor, and Kingsley is also taking on a new challenge on the small screen as well.

The actor is now also hosting the Outlook with Ben Kingsley program produced for many PBS member stations and other public television providers around the country. The show covers a variety of topics including healthcare, technology, and business.

In the coming months, Ben Kingsley is set to be a part of several projects, and is set to work on three more films in addition to his ongoing work hosting Outlook Ben Kingsley. The actor is showing that there is still a high demand for this versatile performer on both film and on television.
